In order to develop the interest and skills for the students in Python. The workshop was organized by the Department of Computer Science in association with Pantech Solutions Pvt Ltd, Coimbatore.

Ms. K. Vinitha, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, MJCAS, welcomed the gathering. Dr. T. H. Nazeema, Principal, MJC inaugurated the session by lighting the lamp along with the Chief guests, Department staff and students. She highlighted on the importance of learning different programming language and advised the students to utilize the workshop for knowledge gaining in the latest techniques using Python. Dr. P.TamilSelvi, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, MJC, introduced the speakers of the day

Mr.Thirumalai, (Project Engineer – Pantech Solutions) explained about the high level programming language Python and its usage in Desktop GUI Applications, websites and web applications. Chief Guest, Mr.Palanivelu (Project Engineer – Pantech Solutions),  briefed on the various steps in digital image processing and explained clearly about how Python plays a major role in digital image processing techniques.

In the afternoon session, students were given Hands on Training in digital image processing techniques using Python. Training certificates were distributed to the students for those who had participated in the workshop
