We celebrated International Women’s Day at MJC on 7th March 2014. The anchor for the ceremony was Ms. Surya Suganya. The program started with a prayer song by Mrs.Salestina Prakash & Group which was followed welcome speech by Mrs. Rakhee Varma.  Mrs. N.Shanmugapriya recited a poem about women. A PowerPoint presentation on the most powerful and successful women in the past and the present was made by the Staff of Arts and Science college.

Ms.R.S.Sathya gave a talk on women. She explained that a woman strives to be caring, loving, giving, strong, resolute, firm and compassionate.  She also shared the transition of the role of women across the ages. She remembered the special focus of MJC that has been established by our founder Dr.P.P.Job on eradication of the female infanticide and uplifting of the womenfolk.
