Life Skills Programme was organized and headed by Dr.R.Ravi, Principal, Michael Job Memorial College of Education for Women. The objective of this program is to imbibe the essential skills of all the MJC faculty members. It was conducted on 2nd September 2021 virtually through google meet.
The session started with the welcome address delivered by Dr.P.Thiruselvi, Assistant Professor in Perspectives in Education. Dr.R.Ravi , the Program Director of this Life Skill Programme presented a complete overview of all the modules in this Programme.
Faculty members of MJC – College of Arts & Science for Women, MJC – College of Education for Women, and MJC – School had participated in this orientation session. Mr.T.koshy: Head, MJC. Mr.Mathew V Francis: CEO, MJC, Dr.T.H.Nazeema – Principal, MJCAS , Mrs.N.Anitha – Principal , MJHSS , Mr. Kuruvilla – Manager (Operations) and Mr.Joseph Elias – Superintendent participated, encouraged and contributed in the successful conduct of this orientation session.
He elaborated about the Major 4 skills that is focused in this Life Skills Programme : Communication Skills, Professional Skills, Leadership and Management Skills and Universal Human values. Also he listed the different modules under each skills .
He elucidated that the transaction of all these modules will be through google classroom in the form of materials and assignments. It will provide a better collaboration and space for their learning. Evaluation procedure with marks allotment for the Module 1 : Communication Skills was explained clearly.
The session was very interactive and an inspirational one which initiated within them an interest to enhance their life skills. The orientation session ended with the vote of thanks delivered by Mrs.T.Masani Priya, Assistant Professor in Computer Science Education.
