MJC EDUCATION COLLEGE – Awareness session on “HIV/AIDS”

Michael Job Memorial College of Education For Women organized an event to create awareness on HIV/AIDS among the students and Faculties in the MJC Campus. The event was organized by the Red Ribbon Club of MJCOE.

The Chief Guest, Mr M.S.JAYAKUMAR, MSW M.Phil working as an STD Counsellor, Coimbatore Medical College and worked as Assistant Professor of Yoga Vethathiri Maharishi Foundation and has 15 years of experience in this HIV field.

Faculty members and students of Michael Job College of Arts and Science and Michael Job Memorial College of Education for Women, and  Michael Job Matriculation Higher Secondary School participated in this event. It was an initiative to spread awareness about HIV/AIDS and associated myths among the student teachers and empower them as educators in their careers.

The Chief Guest gave a piece of concise and adequate information about HIV/AIDS to heighten their awareness about it. His speech also equipped the faculty members and students with enormous information on mental health, good nutrition, ways to live a safe and healthy lifestyle that created a  positive health behavior for an enabling environment. He also explained about the COVID vaccination and the precautions to be followed to safeguard us from COVID. The participants had actively participated in the Q & A session and clarified their queries with the Chief guest.
